INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS
Tutoring programs are specialized for children with dyslexia or reading and writing difficulties. At The Reading Room, the programs are based on a thorough understanding of each student's individual profile and their specific learning needs.
Each lesson is specifically designed using the evidence-based Orton Gillingham approach. The literacy skills are taught with proper support and scaffolding to address the particular skills and strategies that need further development.

1-1 OR SMALL GROUP INTERVENTION
Each student is given explicit one-on-one or small group instruction of targeted skills and strategies. Each lesson builds on the struggles and successes in previous lessons, ensuring each student progresses and learns to the best of their ability.
PROGRESS MONITORING
Progress is closely monitored on an ongoing basis to inform instruction and measure growth. Regular progress reports are provided throughout the school year. These full reports outline specific skills that each student is learning and includes recommended strategies and accommodations for the classroom.
